Meet a Dulux Avista Accredited Applicator
Paul Sabat from King-Crete Solutions has been especially busy lately, repairing new concrete damaged following Sydney's record-breaking year of rainfall in 2022. Concreters and builders have been calling on him for emergency repairs using the Dulux Avista Resurfacing System.
"If new concrete has not adequately cured before a heavy rain, the concrete turns to powder at the top and the corners are often horrific," Paul explains.
"Concrete resurfacing is a lifesaver in these situations. I grind back the surface and repair any patches before resurfacing in the customer's chosen colour scheme."

"I will do the difficult jobs that no one else wants to touch. If someone has a problem, they call me," says Paul. "I love trying new products and solving challenges."

"Night Fall is the most popular colour blend with my customers. It looks amazing," he says. "For kitchens and open plan living, I would choose Natural Stone Look Flakes all day, every day."
Paul says Natural Stone Look Flakes create a similar look as polished concrete but with a more even finish. "The epoxy surface is also more forgiving in terms of cleaning and any cracks that might appear in the concrete over time."

Paul was approached by Dulux Avista to join the Accredited Applicator program based on his reputation as an expert applicator.
"Reputation is everything because so much work comes from word of mouth. You need to have the skill and the drive to achieve the perfect finish," says Paul.
His father Joseph Sabat was a concreter and taught him the trade from an early age. Paul then completed apprenticeships in carpentry and concreting before starting his own business King-Crete Solutions.
Paul believes integrity and attention to detail set him apart in the industry. "I will not hand back a job if I know there's an imperfection. The customer might not notice but I will know. I take the time to get it right."
