How do Sealer Tints work?

Once you have selected a colour, the Dulux Avista Concrete Sealer Colour Tint is mixed with Dulux Avista Concrete Sealer Tintable Base. This provides a protective coloured coating to re-colour and refresh your exterior concrete surfaces.

If you don't require a Colorbond® colour and don't wish to mix products, an alternative choice is the Dulux Avista Concrete Coloured Sealer. This product is available pre-tinted in three of our most popular colours: New Bluestone, French Grey and Charcoal.

Our sealers are applied by roller, with no need to prime the concrete or add solvents. However, Dulux Avista Slip Reducing Additives can be added at the time of application. Recoating a driveway will take about two hours. You will be able to walk on your driveway after 24 hours and drive on it after five days.

The benefits of sealing

As well as adding colour to uplift your home's exterior and bringing multiple design elements together, sealers are an essential final step to protect new and resurfaced concrete. We recommend sealing for maintenance approximately every two years. Sealers work by blocking the pores of the concrete and stopping dirt getting in. This makes for easier cleaning and can reduce colour fading.
