3 reasons to use an Accredited Applicator

Whether you need a concrete makeover indoors or outside, Dulux Avista has a solution that will add value and style to your home. Our Accredited Applicators can help you plan and execute your project.

From concrete driveways and paths to pool surrounds and garage floors, Dulux Avista's products can create impressive transformations. But they do require skilled application and specialist equipment to deliver the best results. That's why we recommend application by a professional applicator. Our most trusted applicators are invited to join our Accredited Applicator program, which includes extensive practical training with all Dulux Avista products. Here's how they can help you.

1. Surface assessment and product selection advice

Perhaps you know you want to uplift your driveway or concrete floor, but you're not sure where to start or which products to use?

We can put you in touch with a Dulux Avista Accredited Applicator near you. They will visit your home, do a surface assessment and offer product selection advice. For example, they can tell you whether your driveway is suitable for resurfacing, or whether a refresh with a sealer will provide the look you're after. They know all about our most popular colour combinations indoors and out, and can help you choose an on-trend look to add value to your home.

2. Project quote

After you choose the solution you're after, they will provide a project quote that covers both their labour and (in most cases) the purchase of Dulux Avista products.

3. Trained to perfect every step

All new Accredited Applicators complete Dulux Avista's face to face training program which is run nationally by the Dulux Training Academy.

Dulux Avista's Technical and Training Manager Chris Murphy explains: "There is ongoing product training and I consult with our Accredited Applicators if they need advice on tricky projects. They are trained and supported to get the best out of our products on every project."

Many of our solutions are multi-step transformations, which is why training is so valuable. For example, resurfacing a driveway involves five steps:

  1. Surface preparation with acid and pressure washing.
  2. Priming.
  3. Applying a base coat.
  4. Applying texture coats with a hopper gun. Additional colours can be applied in these 'fleck' coats.
  5. Sealing.

Our Decorative Flakes and Natural Stone Look Flakes also involve multiple application steps and great skill.
